How to make a Satisfactory server
A dedicated Satisfactory server keeps your factory running even when everyone's logged off, so production doesn't stop between sessions.
1. Get enough RAM
Satisfactory needs 8 GB even to get started — it's not a game our smallest plans can run. Early and mid game run fine on 8 GB; big, sprawling late-game factories do better with 12 GB or more.
2. Create the server
Choose a Satisfactory plan on VantaHost. It installs from Steam and starts automatically. Both ports Satisfactory needs — game and reliable — are configured for you, so there's nothing to forward yourself.
3. Connect and claim it
Open Server Manager in Satisfactory, add your server using the address and port from your client area, then claim the server and set your admin password there.
4. Bring your existing save
Upload your save file through the game panel's file manager, then select it from Server Manager in-game to continue where you left off.
5. Keep building
Your factory keeps running while you're offline, so multiplayer projects keep moving even when only one person is online at a time.
6. Upgrading later
If you outgrow your plan, upgrading resizes your existing server in place — same server, same factory and same address. Nothing is reinstalled. Restart your server from your client area to start using the extra memory.
