How to make a Palworld dedicated server

A dedicated Palworld server keeps your world running so friends can play any time, without the host player needing to be online.

1. Get enough RAM

Palworld uses a lot of memory, and more the longer it runs. 8 GB works for a small group; 12 to 16 GB is better for larger groups and big bases. Scheduling a daily restart also helps.

2. Create the server

Choose a Palworld plan on VantaHost. The server installs and starts automatically, and your admin password is shown in your client area.

3. Join it

In Palworld, pick Join Multiplayer Game, enter your server address and port in the box at the bottom, and connect.

4. Become an admin

In the in-game chat, type /AdminPassword yourpassword. You can then use commands like /KickPlayer, /BanPlayer and /Save.

5. Change world settings

Experience rate, Pal capture rate, day length, death penalty and more are in PalWorldSettings.ini. Edit it in the game panel's file manager, then restart.

6. Move your existing world

Upload your save folder through the file manager and set it as the active world in the server config. Always keep a backup of your save first.
